The Alpha Phi Foundation
Butler Alpha Phi supports the Alpha Phi Foundation through our philanthropy events and fundraising efforts. The Alpha Phi Foundation is comprised of five pillars: Women's Heart Health, Scholarship, Leadership, Heritage, and the Forget Me Not Grant Fund. All proceeds collected from all philanthropy events are donated to the Alpha Phi Foundation.

Philanthropy Events
Alpha Phi hosts 2-3 philanthropy events per semester including our annual Red Dress Gala every spring and our philanthropy week every fall. Here are few examples of some of the many philanthropy events we do!
Every spring, Butler Alpha Phi hosts our Annual Red Dress Gala. This year's gala featured a silent auction, entertainment, drinks and desserts. Through the support of our family and community members, in the spring of 2025 we were able to raise over $17.5K for the Alpha Phi Foundation.

Every fall we host our Annual philanthropy week. The week is filled with events promoting women's heart health on campus. In the fall of 2025, during our America's Sweethearts Week we were able to raise $25,000+ throughout the week for the Alpha Phi Foundation.
Philanthropy Week
Alpha Phi hosts an annual soccer tournament every spring semester called Phifa to raise money for our philanthropy! This year we had 20+ teams compete in our tournament. We were able to raise around $3,000 for The Alpha Phi Foundation!

What does philanthropy mean to me?
Being able to raise money and awareness for Women’s Heart Health is a truly rewarding experience. Knowing that heart disease is such a prevalent issue that affects women all around the world, I am grateful for the opportunity to lead our chapter to make even a small impact on this life-saving cause. The Alpha Phi Foundation has been able to help our girls worldwide, and it is something that all of us can count on and that keeps us close for the rest of our lives. I have enjoyed planning events and coming up with fundraising ideas for the girls, knowing that there is something bigger we can all be a part of!
